It seems like every week we are asked how we clean carpets. Which Process do you guys use? Is the carpet going to be wet? Do you use a buffer and a pad to clean?
We have cleaned using three different machines.
The first process we have used is a buffer method. In this method we use a buffer and a pad along with a pre treatment to remove dirt from the carpet. This method has its advantages, short dry time, relatively cheaper, and shorter cleaning times. However, most of the dirt gets pushed down below the top of the carpet and it doesn’t stay clean as long as other methods.
The second process is a portable carpet cleaning machine. This method includes a spraying a pre treatment on soiled carpet then extracting it and the dirt using hot water. We only use this process in high rise apartment buildings or in places that we cannot reach with our vans. For the most part this process has very slow drying times.
The third way is similar to the second process but instead of using a portable, we use a truck mounted steam cleaning machine. These machines are capable of reaching extreme temperatures (230+ degrees) and have incredible suction to leave your carpets drier.
